Dear TeamToddTBI,

I am still completing virtual flights: “https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aCIKpxcJIjn116wBMj5A_uhcumkrDvxk/view?usp=sharing”

I still am still working on a better way to share my habit with others.  I think more people would have adapted my habit if they did not need to co-locate their personal computer in their workout space.  But, they should be willing sweat near a Pi 5.  Also, adopting my habit requires comfort using the console (i.e. command prompt).   I hope to eliminate the requirement.

Saturday, I was able to control the throttle in flightgear by spinning or stopping the wheel in my truing stand.   Now, I would like to make a power point presentation to post on my github site to explain the decisions that a new end user needs make: identify their tire size, identify the MAC address of their speed sensor, how to translate the speed sensor data into a throttle position, … etc.  An end user will also be required to invest their time producing data from one of their workouts to calculate parameters to translate their speed sensor data into a throttle position.

HRH is in Rockingham to aid my favorite sister hosting a Christmas party for Libby’s staff.  I wonder if Libby will wear red and green or simply purple.

St. Luigi, Thank you for your intercession.  St. Carlo Acutis, pray for us.

 December 7, 2025

Dear TeamToddTBI,

I continue to be obsessed with virtual flights: “https://drive.google.com/file/d/15RTfdQxoqLe_oxd46F0oyAn1CdsBGTgV/view?usp=sharing”  This week, I had two bad landings: a short flight from KDXR to KPOU and a flight from KPRG to KPTW.  I am bothered by flights more than 25 minutes that do not end with a good landing that I aim to repeat the flight the next day.  The virtual flights are fun for me; who does not enjoy having fun?

I am still aiming to make my software for completing virtual flights more user-friendly.  I have used the software to improve my cycling cadence from a paltry 60 rpm to about a 120 rpm.  If you are interested in completing virtual flights yourself or increasing you cycling cadence please contact me.  I have my own version of gatttool but up to date Pi 5’s no longer allow modifications to gatttool.  So first I want to overcome this obstacle programmatically.

I saw a giant rat {i.e deer} when I went to get the Washington Post Saturday morning.  What has happened to our neighborhood?

My father was in Rockingham for a couple of days to visit my favorite sister and go to a Christmas concert with Libby.  My father was sent home with some fresh sea bass of which I enjoyed for dinner this evening.

St. Luigi, Thank you for your intercession.  St. Carlo Acutis, pray for us.

Hello TEAMTODD!  Thank you for staying with us. For me, it has been a good week of baking Christmas cookies.  I am happy to say, I have 2 boxes ready to ship tomorrow to Ted’s brothers.  Then, next week is Libby’s staff event.  READY!!!  Then, I will concentrate on the WU ski event.   I love, enjoy,  sharing the “goodies”.

Ted spent  2  days in LibbyLand. (  Friday thru Sunday morning)   Libby and  Ted did some baking together, played the piano and went to a concert last night. They had a GREAT time together !

Is nice to have Ted home with us. (Me and Todd)

Have a good time before Christmas, TeamTodd.  Much Love, from the Westley’s
