Dear TeamToddTBI,
Here is a link to a video of my quirky blackjack computer game: “https://drive.google.com/file/d/13_NGJQuyWIbsqKXMvkr2DCltAYid_ahF/view?usp=drive_link” The video has no sound; key strokes are illustrated; the video shows configuration of the game to match the wishes of the end user. I hope end users can configure the game to match the rules that they want. The game is not complete so if you have good idea, I still have time to incorporate it. I hope by playing the game my short term memory improves.
I flew virtually this week:”https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w5zZSqv_rrvLLewIjhwE97YOi57otKqH/view?usp=sharing” On Friday, the virtual cross winds were bad; I navigated barely well to land, turn around, and take-off again. I still hope others will adopt this challenging activity.
I also filled forms from UNUM and Medicare in anticipation of a Primary Care Physician’s appointment later in March. I now have to print the forms out and double check the content. But, I do not have to decipher my poor hand writing.
I drove a car to Safeway on Saturday to restore my supply of the previously brominated beverage, vital to my recovery my TBI.
The burden of being good in church was shifted back to me; I made no breakfast casserole Saturday. Dad decided to prepare waffles.
St. Luigi, pray for us.
Hello , TEAMTODD! Thank you for staying with us. AMAZING! Todd is taking care of himself. I was not aware of his communication with UNUM and Medicare until now, as I read his update to you all. I am VERY aware, however, Todd has taken on more ways to be helpful around the house. Todd always seems to be “there” when I need a helping hand.
I had Cataract Surgery on my second eye this week and Todd drove me to my post op appointment the next day. All went well… Todd drives the speed limit… But that is lawful..
TEAMTODD, I must share with you a story I heard for the first time this week from an occasional (professional) acquaintance… He shared with me, FINALLY, after so many years, his son survived a horrendous strike from a truck as he was jogging, age 13-14… Of course, his son received the BEST medical care available. BUT! TBI raises its ugly head resulting in emotional problems, depression, mood changes among its victims. My friend’s son took his own life, just 2 years ago, age 42, after battling for so many years the residue of TBI.
I think I am “preaching to the choir”, but I had to share his story.
We are so grateful for Todd’s positive outlook, gracious acceptance, and good humor. What gifts to ALL of us.!!!!!! NO! It is only by the grace of God, AND YOUR PRAYERS, YOUR GOOD WORKS, that Todd and WE, have been spared horrendous results of TBI. Please stay with us!
